Drum Circles

This powerful musical experience at Youth Villages serves special needs and at-risk community groups.  The weekly program enables students and community members to participate in therapeutic drumming as a means to deal with life stresses and personal development challenges, helping participants through their personal healing process.  In addition, you can find Frank Shaffer, a MSO percussionist, form Drum Circles at the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf.  Through grants and a program called HealthRHYTHMS, Drum Circles also take place at Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief at the campus of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville.
